Unattended Death Cleanup / Human Decomposition Cleanup

When a person dies alone and the body is not discovered for a period of time, this is called an "unattended death". An unattended death is also referred to as a "decomp" because it almost always involves the cleanup of tissue, blood and odor that is associated with the human decomposition process. Unattended death cleaning service is what we do.   We are not a janitorial company or a general cleaning company.  We have specialized training and specialized equipment to properly clean, disinfect and decontaminate the effected rooms, house, property or automobile and properly remove the odor, returning the home or vehicle to a usable condition.

MarieDanaCloseThe remediation of an unattended death has many variables that need to be taken into consideration when decontaminating and cleaning.    We use only non-hazardous; Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved chemicals and materials in our processes.  All chemical compounds are environmentally friendly and leave no residue.  Complete disposal services will be provided for contaminated and affected materials generated at the scene.  These items are handled in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and California Regulations. In the course of the decontamination process we take the utmost care to preserve as much property as possible with thorough decontamination.

We try to minimize as much cost to our clients as possible by doing our job in a smart, thorough and efficient manner.  We will be glad to discuss the process with you in detail so you understand the service you will be provided should you choose to use our company.

In an effort to minimize the emotional stress of unwanted onlookers, our technicians will be arriving at your site in unmarked vehicles with professional yet casual looking polo shirts and trousers.  There should always be two technicians, one that will "suit up" and stay in the affected area to clean and a "runner" that stays in our casual, non-descript work uniform.  The uniformed member will be the individual who will leave the affected area when necessary and go back and forth to the truck as required.  Your privacy and confidentiality is our ultimate priority.  A & M Bio-Recovery personnel will not discuss the scene, the event, or any aspect of it outside of the company unless the individual requesting information has authority over the scene (i.e., the Medical Examiner's Office or the local Law Enforcement agency).

The process of physically cleaning an unattended death site generally takes between 3 to 5 hrs although this may vary on a case-by-case basis.  The deodorization process takes much longer and must be assessed on-scene before any estimate can be given.

Payment

Home Owner's or Renter's Insurance generally covers Decomposition clean-up services because the death causes the residence to become uninhabitable.  A& M Bio-Recovery will be more than happy to work directly with insurance agents, thereby relieving an already stressed family of the burden of trying to deal with the business of payment.  If, by chance, there is no insurance, or the insurance company fails to pay, A & M Bio-Recovery is prepared to work out a no-interest payment plan that will fit within your budget.  Our goal is to get the client and the family through this difficult time as quickly and easily as possible without creating an additional tremendous financial burden.   Call us.  We will discuss cleanup with you and will go to the site to provide a free estimate.

Our rates are in accordance with industry standards.  No job is too small or too large.  We work on private residential and/or commercial properties.   We are an 8A Woman-veteran owned,  small business experienced at working with State, Federal and City Governments.  We work with the Government purchase card and purchase order system.  We accept Visa, Master Card and Discover card.
